About Me

I am a Counselling & Clinical Psychologist.

I specialise in psychology, psychotherapy & EMDR for children, adolescents and adults.

I work with individuals, parents, couples and families, offering assessment, diagnosis, formulation and treatment for mental health & relationship issues.

I am a licensed Circle of Security Parenting Facilitator, and have completed Gottman training to deliver programs to couples and new parents. I am passionate about working with parents to help them feel confident in parenting, look after themselves so they can be present and energised in parenting and understand the needs and behaviours of their children, to create loving safe and secure attachments.

I am also a psychology board approved supervisor and EMDR consultant and am passionate about providing individual and group supervision to trainees, early career psychologists and mental health practitioners.

Therapy that helps you feel safer, more connected and more like yourself

Therapy is not a one-size-fits-all process. Our work together will be shaped around you—your experiences, your strengths, your needs and what you hope will change. I draw on psychotherapy, EMDR and other evidence-based approaches to help you understand what is happening beneath the symptoms and move towards meaningful, lasting change.

A relational and personalised approach

The relationship you have with your psychologist matters. My approach is warm, collaborative and grounded in the belief that people heal through safe, supportive relationships.

I integrate current understandings of trauma, attachment, neuroscience and the nervous system with practical therapeutic approaches. Together, we will decide which strategies and frameworks feel most helpful for you. Therapy may involve making sense of past experiences, developing ways to manage difficult emotions, reconnecting with your body, strengthening relationships, or building greater confidence and trust in yourself.

You will not be expected to fit into a particular therapy model. The therapy will be adapted to fit you.

My commitment to you

I believe an effective psychologist should be informed, present and genuinely attuned to the person in front of them. I regularly undertake advanced professional development and stay connected with current research and evidence-based practice. I also participate in ongoing consultation and supervision with experienced psychologists and EMDR professionals.

I intentionally limit the number of clients I work with so I can offer each person the care, attention and responsiveness they deserve.

Are we a good fit?

Feeling safe, understood and comfortable with your psychologist is an important part of therapy. Our initial appointment gives us an opportunity to begin getting to know one another, talk about what has brought you to therapy and consider how we might work together.

Sometimes, despite everyone’s best intentions, a therapist may not feel like the right fit—and that is okay. If we decide that another psychologist or service may be better suited to your needs, I will do my best to recommend trusted colleagues or other appropriate supports.

I completed my psychology and EMDR therapy training in the UK, Ireland and Australia.

I have experience working in a variety of settings including child protection, community mental health, women’s health and family services, and schools.

I began working in private practice in Perth 2019

When i’m not working you will find me hanging out with my family and my Groodles - Seamus & Bruce.

I love travelling, camping, the beach, yoga & hiking!

“I define connection as the energy that exists between people when they feel seen, heard, and valued; when they can give and receive without judgment; and when they derive sustenance and strength from the relationship.”
